Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 3 September 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules for using Home And Office Furniture (Ebonium Limited)'s website at https://homeandofficefurniture.co.uk, including any account you create, content you submit (such as reviews, comments, or photos), and any interactive features we offer. It forms part of our Terms of Service. By using the site you agree to this policy.

1. Lawful use only

You must use the site only for lawful purposes. You must not use it in any way that breaches applicable law or regulation, infringes anyone's rights, or is fraudulent or deceptive — including placing orders with stolen payment details, impersonating another person, or misusing discount codes and promotions beyond their intended terms.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You must not share an account, sell or transfer it, or create accounts by automated means. Tell us immediately at sales@homeandofficefurniture.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

3. Content you submit

If you submit reviews, comments, questions, photos, or other content, it must be your own honest opinion or work and must not be unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing, misleading, or infringing of anyone's intellectual property or privacy. You must not post fake or incentivised reviews without disclosure — this is illegal under UK consumer law. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to display content you submit on the site. We may remove or decline to publish any content that breaches this policy.

4. Technical misuse

You must not: introduce malware or any harmful code; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers, or any connected system; scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content or personal data without our written permission; use bots to place orders, buy stock for resale in breach of published purchase limits, or interfere with the proper working of the site (including denial-of-service attacks or circumventing security or rate limits).

5. Purchases

Products are sold for personal or legitimate business use in line with our Terms of Service. We may set and enforce reasonable per-customer purchase limits, and we may cancel orders that we reasonably believe breach this policy, are placed by automated means, or are fraudulent.

6. What happens if you break these rules

If you breach this policy we may, depending on seriousness: warn you; remove content; cancel orders; suspend or close your account; and/or report the matter to law enforcement or other authorities. Where the breach causes us loss, we may also recover that loss from you. If you believe we have acted in error, contact us at sales@homeandofficefurniture.co.uk and we will review the decision.

7. Reporting misuse

To report content or behaviour on this site that you believe breaks these rules or the law, contact us at sales@homeandofficefurniture.co.uk, by phone on +441276536255, or write to 5 Minster Court Tuscam Way Camberley GU15 3YY. We review credible reports promptly.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the updated policy.
