What Is a Scalloped Edge Desk?
A scalloped edge desk has a recessed section or cut-out along the rear edge of the desktop.
This creates an opening between the desk and the wall, screen or neighbouring workstation through which power, monitor and data cables can be routed.
Unlike an individual cable port positioned at a fixed point in the desktop, a wider scalloped section provides greater flexibility over where cables can pass behind and underneath the desk.
This can be useful when equipment positions change or several devices need to connect through the same area.
